Megan Parlen has been acting since the age of three, her first performance was in a milk commercial.

 

She is best known for playing Mary Beth Pepperton on the television series Hang Time. Megan and Daniella Deutscher were the only castmembers to appear in every episode during it's six season run. Being the #1 rated Saturday morning program, Megan deserves much of the credit for it's success! Many of the actors would only do a season or two before leaving, Megan stuck with the show, giving consistantly good performances for which she earned three consecutive Young Star Awards nominations. In 1997 she won the award.

 

As well as acting, future plans include writing and directing.

 

Megan enjoys reading and writing poetry.

 

She sings and plays the guitar.

 

Megan is involved with a group called "Book Pals," who's members donate their time reading books to school children.

 

Megan took time off from acting to be a full time student at UCLA, where she studied communications. 

 

Megan is currently a graduate student at another southern California university were she is studying broadcast journalism.
