When making butt stocks, it is essential to have the butt plate and butt stock attachment assembly in hand during
construction of a 1921 or 1928. If making a M1A1 or 1927 type, just the butt plate is needed. Front and rear grips
can be made without the gun in hand as they are more standardized and I can fit them to my metal parts. West Hurley
made 1928's may need special fitting.
The lower set is on a 1927 A3. The butt stock is shaped like a 1921 butt stock and screws into place. Stock
must be removed to take frame and receiver apart.
Bottom front horizontal grip is longer than the standard grip but proportioned like an original front grip for a tsmg.
By adding an extra inch or two to the grip, the longer 16 inch barrel on a semi auto looks better proportioned.
