John G. Lake

By Beth Moore
You can be thrown into a pit, slip into a pit or jump into a pit.  However, you get there, it becomes a stronghold that holds you in bondage.  All of us have been in a pit some time or another.  Beth gives straight talk, in the way only Beth can do this, on how to get out of a pit and stay out.

This is a current best seller and is widely available.  Our family has also viewed several of Beth's teaching videos.  We completed a Bible study she hosted, on the book of Daniel, and we are just getting ready to begin viewing a series, based upon this book, entitled "Who will you trust."

Healing the Sick
by T.L. Osborn

I have now read two of TL's books and have learned much from them.  Healing the Sick is about much more than a book about healing, it taught me to believe the Word of God even more than I believe my senses or feelings.

TL and his wife Daisy had a 40 plus year ministry bringing the power of God and His testimony thru over 80 counties including the U.S.A.

Here is a link to their ministry web site where many works are still available:

John G Lake:
His Life, His Sermons: His Boldness of Faith

Lake's ministry spanned the end of the 19th Century into the 20th Century.  This book is a collection of his sermons and a brief story of his life.  His ministry continues and was bold and fruitful.

Even though this is a much older work, it is still relevent today.  Because Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.

This book will be more diffucult to find.  I found a good used copy thru Amazon.com.  Below is a link to his continuing ministry:

His book may be found at Kenneth Copeland Ministries, link below:

Betty Robison

Free to be Me: A journey through fear to freedom

This is a story of how Betty Robison personally overcame fear and got out of the trap of always thinking she had to please other people.  It is a story of how God brought out the best in Betty and made her all that she should be.

James & Betty host Life Today and run Life Outreach International.  This organization feeds around 400,000 people who would otherwise starve to death!
