Just a word on homosexuality.  I don't believe in gay marriage.  However, we should all accept homosexuals as people who have rights just the same as anyone else.  This is not the same thing as saying I approve of this behavior.  The bible is very clear homosexuality is a sin.  (please refer to the Book of Romans, Chapter one.)  There are some who now speculate that homosexuality is genetic, this predisposition is in their genes.   I don't believe God would put anything in anyone's genetic code that causes them to sin.  Being gay is a choice and a poor one.  In the natural, the health risks are enormous.  And I don't want to hear about safe sex because condoms aren't that safe. This is extremely risky behavior and no one seems to talk about this.  In a politically correct culture, it is seldom mentioned that there are now many former homosexuals who no longer live this life style, each for their own reasons.  It can be overcome.  In the meantime, as Christians, we can love them without approving of their behavior.  Maybe your not sure what I mean when I say we must "love" them.  To learn about Christian "love" click Christian Love.

 

Gay marriage is a national social issue at this very time.  There are some (liberals) that want to redefine God's concept of a marriage and replace it with their (man's) idea of a marriage.  If this happens, it will be a disaster.  There are also many churches, institutions and individual Pastors,  that struggle with preaching the Word as it is written.  Perhaps in this polically correct culture they fear being labeled a bigot.  Certainly the polically correct among us are loose with their use of labels.  Some avoid this issue at all costs.  Some dance around it.  Others may fear they will lose membership if they preach the Word.  Pastors with the will to Preach the Word as written, and as commonly understood, attract members and grow their congregations.  Many, many people want to hear the Word, as written, and not some watered down meaningless goo.
